Glow in the Dark Mean of Escape Installation Photography

Our client asked us to create a photograph that illustrates a glow in the dark evacuation system in lit and dark states. The problem was the install only partitional existed, on the handrails and skirting board and we only had one strip of glow in the dark material to use.

With the camera locked off on the tripod I first set up for the lit scene, taking a shot and moving the glow in the dark material to the next position and so on. Next, I set up the dark scene and repeated the same method, albeit now with long exposure times. The end result is a photorealistic composite of an installation that never existed.
